Talk:Slipstream (WFC)
This should probably be sourced.--Jimsorenson 17:56, 5 May 2010 (EDT)
- TFW2005's report had concept art of a girl jet, with the name blurred out. That's about it. This same bunch of concept art shows Barricade and Breakdown using the same basic body model (something that the final renders show as untrue), so I really don't know how trustworthy it can be. --Detour 18:16, 5 May 2010 (EDT)
- And according to Powered Convoy, only game screenshots are supposed to be officially released, which means she'd be part of unofficial, leaked information. --Detour 18:26, 5 May 2010 (EDT)
- At about 1:20-1:21 in this video, just before they show Arcee, you can see what looks like Slipstream running and firing some sort of gun. --Nerroth 19:22, 5 May 2010 (EDT)

"Stalker"
[edit]Although Slipstream resembles a "seeker", it was later established that her body type is called a "stalker"
This means nothing. "Stalker" is just the codename for her chassis. The Starscream body-type in multiplayer is called "Energon Seeker". Since Slipstream is built differently from Starscream, her chassis is codenamed "Stalker". She could still be a Seeker. --NCZ 15:24, 30 September 2010 (EDT)
- Exactly, 'stalker' might be a subtype of 'seeker' just like 'conehead'. Best to say that she has not yet been referred to as a 'seeker' despite her appearance. --Khajidha 15:54, 30 September 2010 (EDT)
Subscription figure universe
[edit]So spring-boarding off of Timeless, can we still say Axiom Nexus Slipstream from Invasion: Epilogue is WFC Slipstream? Timeless indicated that the TransTechs had never charted an Aligned universe before, so it stands to reason they wouldn't have an Aligned Decepticon wandering around the offworlder sector. As we know from Withered Hope and AllSpark Almanac II, even when the TransTechs had no idea where the Go-Bots came from or how to get them back there, they still labeled their home universe as "Gargent Cluster". A similarly displaced Aligned Slipstream should have led to an "Aligned Cluster" getting named...if Aligned Slipstream she truly be.
Her bio did make a "She's a little weird and out of place" statement, but that could've just been about her "female-ness", like 2009's Elita-1. --Xaaron 21:06, 17 September 2013 (EDT)
- Eh, they don't have the same reaction about Airazor, and she's a high ranking officer.
- Plus, maybe the bio was writtern before that little scene in Timeless. It might just be a simple continuity error. I'd say keep her hear. Escargon 21:12, 17 September 2013 (EDT)
- Yeah, the bit in the bio about different-ness is almost certainly intended to establish that she's from Aligned - this is a metaphorical multiversal boiling pot, not Marvel continuity, women shouln't be anything unusual. And besides, I've not read much TransTech fiction, but even if they had already come up with a name for Slipstream's cluster, there's no reason they'd magically be able to identify the Fisitron stream, which they don't get coordinates for, as being from the same cluster, right? Jalaguy 03:05, 18 September 2013 (EDT)
- Well, Rhinox did "magically" identify it as a NEW stream without getting the coordinates. His initial scans were enough to establish that the universe was nothing they had ever seen before. And, I roll my eyes as I type here, but going off of Hasbro's official statement, there IS NO "cluster" for Aligned continuity...it's all the same singular universe. One universal stream, ostensibly, for Prime, WFC, the Fisitron glimpse, Slipstream, etc.
- What we're interpreting from the bio seems to be Author Intent versus in-continuity (TT Rhinox) and official statements (Hasbro on Aligned continuity), which typically trumps Author Intent. --Xaaron 08:35, 19 September 2013 (EDT)
- Rereading Slipstream's bio, it explicitly says that nobody in Axiom Nexus knows where she's from, so I don't really see that an argument of "but Rhinox would have already known about Aligned because of Slipstream" really holds water. Slipstream pops up, and for whatever reason they can't figure out her universe of origin (maybe because of Aligned's weird relationship with the rest of the multiverse?). Then, sometime later, Rhinox inadvertently finds an (the?) Aligned universe whilst channel hopping. I don't see a contradiction.
- (As an aside, I'm pretty sure Hasbro's assertions that Aligned is just one, single continuity is kinda contradicted by the games and novels presenting very different versions of the same events.) Jalaguy 10:24, 19 September 2013 (EDT)
