1) This article should be capitalized. 2) Are we even for sure this is the actual name of the series? I know it caught on in the fandom, but I remember something about it not being a very literal translation. --ItsWalky 06:10, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it's just "Smallest Transformers". "World's" was added because the fandom tends to be retarded. Interrobang 07:16, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Technically technically, I believe they are the "Smallest Transforming Transformers" in English. --Monzo 13:34, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Might as well just keep the name as it is. Do you really want to start depending on Takara's engrish? :P --FFN 13:37, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
That's not what I mean; there's no English on the toys, as far as I know. The literal name of what they ARE, from Japanese, is "Smallest Transforming Transformers". --Monzo 14:12, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
I vote we move to [[Smallest Transformers]]. --ItsWalky 17:02, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm going with [[Smallest Transforming Transformers]]. 20:43, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
I think [[Smallest Transformers]] is better, just because we don't have Minerva at "Minelba." As FFN says above, we don't want to depend on Takara's Engrish. That way leads madness. I'd rather have the best translation rather than the most literal one. --ItsWalky 21:05, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
It's definitely closest to "Smallest Transforming Transformers" (literally, "Smallest Transformation Transformers" or "Incredibly Small Transformation Transformers). "Smallest Transformers" is a reasonable English rendition if that feels redundant, though. -Swift 23:55, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, the "Smallest Transforming" stuff isn't Engrish, it's pure Japanese. I'd be inclined to call it by "Smallest Transforming Transformers" (since the claim seems to be that these are the smallest Transformers toys capable of transforming...) --M Sipher 02:03, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't test shots pop up once of things like Smallest Transformers SKIDS and stuff? Or am I just hallucinating about Skids?

Not a hallucination. Forgot what happened to him. Think he was supposed to be in a new one with Hot Rod, but Wave 2.5 happened and then we got nothing else. --ItsWalky 03:10, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
The Takara website calls the mini-Autrooper that comes with the Atari figurine by the same Smallest Transforming Transformer name. But would we include it as a "wave", or just as trivia like the solo-release Hot Rod? -Swift 04:09, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Happy Engrish Fun Man Day, everybody! --FFN 10:15, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

It's not Engrish! "Clerken" and "Minelba" are Engrish. "I feel asleep" is Engrish. This is an attempt to reflect what the toyline is called in the country it's actually sold in. "WSTF" is another "Transformers 2000", except it can't be debunked as easily because the name itself is ambiguous. --Monzo 12:05, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Names

[edit]

Shouldn' we be referring to the toys by their Japanese names since they were only released in Japan?--Nevermore 10:45, 1 September 2010 (EDT)

Scale

[edit]

Nothing here says how big the toys are. Could one of them be shown with an object or ruler to establish how small these things are? --173.175.84.128 14:47, 15 December 2010 (EST)

what years were the waves released?

[edit]

Seems pretty firm that wave one was 2003 and wave 2.5 was 2004. When was wave 2.0 released? It's inconsistent on the individual toys pages. --MistaTee 12:51, 24 August 2012 (EDT)
