Talk:Strika (BM)
Do we REALLY need to make a separate page for Nemesis Strika? What evidence do we have that she's an alternate-universe Strika, and they didn't just give her the name to shore up that trademark just in case, like the "Dinobot Striker"? I mean, our common rules seem to go "that without direct fictional evidence, same body + same name = same dude... --M Sipher 04:30, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I guess there's the Wal-Mart Dinobots... but... those are a bit special. For just Strika, tho... --M Sipher 04:32, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- But she's not another Strika. She's Nemesis Strika. Nemesis in every single other use implies a separate entity. We should err on the side of caution, give her her own page, and make a note of the ambiguity. --ItsWalky 04:47, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
She needs an image.
[edit]I have an image of her. Look and see.....Mr. Florky 18:49, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
If there are no objections, then I'll just post it on her article. Mr. Florky 19:00, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Still nothing? Okay, then. Up she goes. Mr. Florky 19:12, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- If you genuinely want replies to your comments on talk pages, try waiting a day or two, not half an hour. Very few people check for changes that often.
- Also, I'm not sure that image is good enough. It's hard to see any detail. JW 19:55, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- I posted an image for her, but it doesn't show up unless you click it. Is this just my computer acting weird, or am I missing something here? TF's Biggest Fan EVER 14:50, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Here's an image for the page for her drones, whenever that gets made. --ItsWalky 01:51, 9 January 2010 (EST)
pronounciation
[edit]A stupid Q from a noob foreigner: is it "Strika" like "strike", or "Strika" like "string" (the latter explaining Japanese spelling of her name)? -- Silvery 07:03, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
- It's like "strike". --abates 07:09, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
- Thanks. I feel less stupid now. Though Strika like "streekah" would sound cool. ;) -- Silvery 07:13, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
Where does the Japanese spelling come from, BTW? It's not romanized on her card. -Mazenoise 07:21, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
- ストライカ. 16:34, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
Adding Autobot label
[edit]- The reason for this is: she was featured in Flames of Yesterday as a female Autobot. --Tristan 38935 22:02, 22 December (ETD)
Cartoon Retcon
[edit]Could we have a storylink or a note that explains where the retcon that cartoon-generic-female-is-retroactively-Strika comes from? I'm guessing it's Allspark Almanac 1 or 2 (Because this kind of stuff is ALWAYS from those books) but I don't own either books. ----Ascendron 15:24, 22 February 2011 (EST)
- It comes from Wings of Honor, which is the stubbed section directly beneath. --ItsWalky 15:36, 22 February 2011 (EST)
Strika's Fiction
[edit]Why isn't her retconned G1 appearance at the top of her fiction? Isn't the Beast Era part of the G1 continuity? The same was done for Glyph and Sunstorm. -- Karhukjnsi 02:21, 11 March 2011 (EST)
- No, the English language version of the Beast Era is not part of Generation 1 cartoon continuity. And Beast Machines still remains her first appearance in the real world. —Interrobang 03:39, 11 March 2011 (EST)
- It isn't?! I thought towards the end of the series they were really pushing for the whole "Surprise, we're really on prehistoric Earth before G1, here's the Ark, and Optimus and Ravage!" stuff. -- Karhukjnsi 14:38, 11 March 2011 (EST)
New mainpic...
[edit]I dunno... it doesn't really "send" Strika to me. I know the best we had before was a screencap, but I still feel like that had more personality (and looked less awkward) than the lifeless CG dummy. --Nu-Priest (talk) 15:07, 17 June 2021 (EDT)
