Possible extra reference?

Before I start throwing in "this story is a reference to this", I was under debate if "Everything Must Go" is also a reference to the Looney Tunes episode "The High and the Flighty", going by the plot: two feuding adversaries are aided by the same salesman against each other, only to realize they've been had in the end when they receive identical items, and form a truce by going against the salesman together.
