Talk:The Transformers: MPG

There is no substance to the claim of MPG now being a new aesthetic. I suggest rewording or removing that claim.

I'm only seeing this now but damn, this didn't age well, haha. Considering how the very first MPG figures - the Trainbots - already had a far less toon-purist aesthetic, and how basically every MPG G1 character that's not a repaint from the older Masterpiece toyline looked considerably more like a hybridization between toy and cartoon (rather than the previous style that was almost exclusively only oriented towards cartoon accuracy), I do think it was a pretty accurate observation to suggest that the MPG toyline predominantly has a newer aesthetic - even before Optimus Prime Style Gen. was introduced as representative of "the next generation of the highest-end Transformers series".
