Talk:The Transformers (1985 video game)

This game was almost certainly released on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum (aka the Timex TS-2068 in the States) as well as the C64. (http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0005380). Same developer and publisher, and the instructions appear to be the same, though this still doesn't guarantee the game is totally identical. I'll try and get some time to compare the two later.

This is totally relevant to UK and European Transfans, where the Spectrum was at least as popular as the C64.

Thought someone might find this interesting, but Fred Grey wasn't actually very happy with the music he made for the game. The following is from the STIL.txt file from the High Voltage SID collection.

TITLE: Transformers Theme [from the TV series]
ARTIST: Ford Kinder & Anne Bryant
COMMENT: "Transformers was a nightmare. I couldn't get it right and was going

to refuse to do it. They still used it. Yuk..." (FG)

So, the above edit was made almost two decades ago, but... It raises a valid point still: Shouldn't this page be called something like "The Transformers (Commodore 64 / ZX Spectrum)" instead? (FortressMaxxing (talk) 20:14, 15 May 2025 (EDT))
