Given that that article was one asking for this article, I'd say no. For what I could see, Time-jump mechanism is about the rules and events around that specific kind of time travel, whereas I tried to write this article with a focus on the portable object that starts a time-jump by those rules. On the other hand, if you or anyone can suitably merge the two articles, I won't object. Geewunling 10:13, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
