Talk:Torca (BW)
Interrobang, you do realize an orca IS a killer whale, right? --ItsWalky 23:23, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Torca's GPS
[edit]Interrobang,
May I ask what makes you think that Torca does not have GPS?
It is clearly the same plastic type as BW Grimlock's legs and it breaks down or snaps under light pressure leaving exactly the same dusty residue too. It is Gold Plastic Syndrom without a doubt and I am not just talking about the clearly golden color of the plastic.
- Do you have a photograph of a broken Torca? I'm not disputing your claim, I just thought it might be handy if we could look it over see what we think it looks like. You know, two heads are better than one and all that. Plus, it might be worthing putting a picture of it in the article for Torca or GPS. - Semysane 10:10, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Torca's GPS
[edit]Interrobang,
I don't have a digital camera of my own but I can borrow one so I should be able to take a photo some time in the near future. It would also be good for the article.
Since it broke off due to the weakened plastic, I have managed to glue it together and 'modified' the joint so that the stress of the tail is not focuses on the gold plastic but the metal rod within the blue tail plastic (I loosened tail so that the rod remains still and does not 'turn' within the gold plastic causing stress). However the joint still looks deteriorated enough to take a photo as half of it has pretty much fallen to dust and some of the immediate surrounding area was kind of rotting away in layers.
My BW Grimlock last year cracked in a similar manner. The way the plastic just decomposed and cracked was identical. The residue of dust and bits left was also exactly the same as well as the texture of the breakage as it doesn't look snapped, more like 'weathered'. When you compare both plastics side by side, they are undeniably the same kind so if one is prone GPS they both are.
