[edit]Is there a reason this isn't at Tornado (G1), since Tornado appears in IDW as well? Or, since Tornado (G2) is just a redirect to Windrazor's page, couldn't this page live at Tornado with the existing disambig at the top pointing towards Windrazor (G2)? --Emvee 13:45, 18 November 2010 (EST)
- This is due to the weirdness that is the European line. In 1993 a toy was released as Tornado during the transition from G1 to G2. That toy was released in G2 proper as Windrazor. For a short time Windrazor (G2) was at Tornado (G1), during that time this page was moved from Tornado to Tornado (G1). Where it SHOULD be is a good question.--Khajidha 13:52, 18 November 2010 (EST)
- Oh right...so it depends whether we go by the first US name or the first English-language name since Windrazor was been released in the UK during G1.5 as Tornado. Hm, that's not as clear-cut as I thought. --Emvee 14:06, 18 November 2010 (EST)
- I moved it to "Tornado (Skyscorcher)" a while ago, since it was his first English name, in the first franchise he was released in (and also the first name used in fiction). Sipher disagreed, so I considered it a lost cause. —Interrobang 14:15, 18 November 2010 (EST)
- (If my feelings aren't clear, I go by "first English name". This wiki is not the exclusive domain of Americans.) —Interrobang 14:16, 18 November 2010 (EST)
- Makes sense to me, but then I'm English. Is this worth taking to the community portal to try and get some sort of consensus? --Emvee 14:26, 18 November 2010 (EST)
- See, I see the problem as whether those transition figures are G1 or G2. I would group them with G2, but current policy groups them with G1. If they are G1, then Windrazor/Tornado is a G1 character and neither he nor this character can be Tornado (G1). If they are G2 then, this character can be Tornado (G1) and Windrazor/Tornado can be Tornado (G2). Yes, I agree that first English name (whatever market) should rule. --Khajidha 15:22, 18 November 2010 (EST)
