rubsign error?

I have a g1 Tracks, he is complete, has his weapons and instructions, etc. I got him second hand from a reputable used toy store, and it is not a cloned bootleg. Everything is normal to expect from a used g1 tracks, (yes, he has the classic overextended leg problem on his left leg) but his rubsign is a Decepticon one. I have done research on bootlegs, but this rubsign is the harder to activate legit one instead of the over sensitive and cheaply made bootleg rubsigns. Does anyone know why the hell my tracks apparently is a doublecrossing spy? Is this a single error or a widespread thing? If you know anything at all as a lead for me, please respond to this post.
