Dinobots

Given that they've been officially confirmed, I would imagine they would be given a mention somewhere on this page. Not saying we should go so far as to add Grimlock to the featured characters, but I would have thought they'd have some sort of mention here or there.

New Characters

That's a very interesting definition of 'basically confirmed' you're using. If it hasn't been offically confirmed, by Michael Bay and/or a reputable news source, it ain't going on the article. Jalaguy 15:39, 22 September 2013 (EDT)

This isn't TFWiki "refusing to keep up to date". This is TFWiki not reporting on hearsay and unconfirmed rumors (which is 90% of the "up-to-date" crap Wikipedia's got listed). Over the course of the last three movies, a blatant pattern has emerged. "Information" leaks, people jump all over it, it does not happen. • No, until the character had officialy been confirmed to be in the film by Bay, Paramount and Hasbro. so far the confirmation of Grimlock appearance have not been officialy from Hasbro, Paramount and Bay, just leaks.

Of course it's not unheard. But it doesn't happen very often. Scalpel, Mirage and Wheeljack were only character who had different names in films. The name change doesn't happen to ALL characters. Lots of names confirmed by Toy Fair...

But just because we know the toy names doesn't mean we know the film names. For DOTM Mirage and Wheeljack toys were actually called Dino and Que in the film proper. But the name changes only happened once and their names were changed to match past characters. By the way, even though it's not fully confirmed if Slug appears in film, he is indeed confirmed in toyline. So I created a disambiguation article about him. And I moved Slug into Slug (FOC) and edited the redirection of the original article to the disambiguation article. Even though article Slug (AOE) is not created yet, it will come. We absolutely should count the AOE-branded Construct-Bots as the movieverse characters. We shouldn't care about it, since it's only a fan-made picture. Kre-O toys have hinted appearances of Ratchet (with his first movie colors) and Sideswipe (with G1 colors and new face), but without any official information about the characters or Kre-O toys truly having any connection to plot, we can't add their names here. --CAJH (talk) 18:03, 19 February 2014 (EST)

So the new teaser trailer was shown, starring Ratchet. He should be added to the character list, there's no reason whatsoever not to. Also, maybe Stinger? He appeared, but that might not be his final name, considering how uncreative it is. I've seen news stories on a bunch of sites which report her name as Sue Yueming (or Su Yueming) but no links to an official source. TFormers says it's from Jack Reynor's official Facebook, but as far as I can tell, he doesn't have an official facebook!
