I really don't think there's any reason to consider the Hot Shot in this show the same character as the Prime toy. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 10:25, 27 December 2017 (EST)
- And why is that? -west james/notirishman (talk) 10:29, 27 December 2017 (EST)
- They're both based on UT Hot Shot. Of course they're the same character. We consider RB and Exiles Blurr the same character, and that connection is much looser. --Riptide (talk) 10:31, 27 December 2017 (EST)
- Meh. I was against that one at first too until RB Blurr talked about Velocitron on the show. I just don't think "let's do a Rescue Bots version of the guy from Armada" includes the Prime toy. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 10:36, 27 December 2017 (EST)
- Under normal practice, they'd go on the same page. But there's an established precedent for doing it differently with Aligned, with RID Sideswipe and Grimlock being split out from their "older" counterparts. If we're gonna be consistent with it, RB Hot Shot ought to be split out, since like those two, he couldn't be the same guy who fought in the war? Jalaguy (talk) 10:35, 27 December 2017 (EST)
- I think the difference as I see it is that Grimbo and Sideswipe are only loosely based on earlier instances of their "archetype", and aren't very similar to the WFC guys in any sense beside their names and altmodes. There's no way that Hot Shot isn't going to be basically the same guy, even with an incompatible history. --Riptide (talk) 10:41, 27 December 2017 (EST)
- I'm not sure he can be "basically the same guy" as Prime Hot Shot when Prime Hot Shot is barely "a guy" in the first place. He's a toy who showed in a convention script reading. Where he was a Wrecker, which this guy surely won't be. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 10:49, 27 December 2017 (EST)
- ...Yeah. That's... my point. RBA Hot Shot is gonna be An Alignedverse Version Of UT Hot Shot. Barring extenuating circumstances, under our classification system that would make him the same guy as Prime Hot Shot, even if he doesn't share the same exact history. --Riptide (talk) 10:55, 27 December 2017 (EST)
- No, I get it, I'm just against it, in this particular case. I mean I think an argument can also be made that under our classification system you could put this show's Whirl and FOC Whirl on the same page, but this article isn't doing that, and I didn't think it should for Hot Shot either. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 11:04, 27 December 2017 (EST)

This seems to need to be built into a franchise -> cartoon|toyline hierarchy, like its predecesssor. TGB (talk) 08:25, 11 December 2018 (EST)
