Talk:Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2001 cartoon)

The introductory text to this series is unnecessarily spun negatively against the series. The series had its good and bad moments, and was definitely geared toward a much younger audience than the Beast-era series had. What some in the fandom view as mediocrity others may appreciate or enjoy. I'm attempting to edit the intro text to satisfactorily represent both viewpoints. Aurax 15:27, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Following up on that.

[edit]

I agree with Aurax' sentiments... but as of July '06, the series overview segment is still spun against the show. I've tried to really make it more impartial now.

Animation studio?

[edit]

According to the credits, Dongwoo animation is listed but they're under "production collaboration" (製作協力). So, under "|animation studio="? --Lonegamer78 03:11, 24 April 2009 (EDT)

Of the companies you've been crediting under "production company", both NAS and Studio Gallop are animation studios. Dongwoo is noted on Wikipedia as as "work for hire" studio for Studio Gallop. Presumably they shared the workload to some extent. Do the Car Robots credits differ by episode or are they like the RiD credits?
Unhelpfully RiD credits the show as being "produced by" Nihon AD Systems and doesn't mention Studio Gallop or Dongwoo at all! --abates 03:48, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
Perhaps of note, Studio Gallop's web page lists Car Robots among their works. I couldn't find it listed on NAS or Dongwoo's sites. --abates 04:12, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
Opening credits are usually the same, but the end credits is where the differences are (i.e., voice actors). I'll have to check what few CR epsiodes I have. *furrows brow* Although I suppose Studio Gallop makes the most sense to be put under "animation studio" to an extent... --Lonegamer78 07:10, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
My best guess is that Studio Gallop provided the key animation and Dongwoo handled the in-betweening. Dongwoo is a Korean studio, and the Japanese typically don't outsource any animation to them unless it's in-betweening. Just my theory, though. --DrSpengler 01:22, 12 July 2009 (EDT)

Reception/Criticism

[edit]

Should there be a section dealing with this? Eire 14.12 July 02 (UTC)

except in extreme cases, the wiki is used for objective details and leaves the opinions to the message broads. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.141.130.38 (talkcontribs){{#if:21:20, 11 July 2009| 21:20, 11 July 2009|}}.
It's entirely possible to write objectively about the reception/criticism of the show. We would not be saying "We love/hate this show," but "A fair amount of fan reaction to the show was positive/negative," or "There was some controversy about the show in the media" or similar.
