Personally, I think Transquito's extra 'attack mode' is more likely to be an amblypygid. (You can google it) due to the general posture of the creature and the way the jaws are jointed.

Only female mosquitos have the iconic mosquito proboscis. Since Transquito has it, but is referred to with masculine pronouns... Well, Transquito has something of a, perhaps unintentional, double meaning as a name. --Skyvenom

Yeah. I wasn't necessarily saying Transquito was trans (hell, as a trans person, I'm still astounded there actually are canon trans characters), more just noting the coincidence, which amuses me. --Skyvenom

It goes deeper than that: Transquito's antennae are of the feathery sort found only on male mosquitos, so the mosquito specimen he scanned was apparently hermaphroditic. --Megatronacepticon (talk) 08:45, 24 April 2021 (EDT)
