Talk:Whiskers

"Cross-eyed lion" is what I would have gone with, since "Whiskers" wasn't made his official identifier (it never got beyond "pet-name stage") and they kinda stopped calling him that after a while (Blades even acknowledged that the lion didn't accept that as his name). "Cross-eyed lion" however was what he was and what the zoo officially labeled him as. --Sabrblade 09:07, 22 April 2012 (EDT)
- I have no objections to moving the article to "Cross-eyed lion". I figured they didn't have an in-universe "official" name for the lion so as not to confuse people. --abates 18:43, 22 April 2012 (EDT)
In light of the latest episode where everyone's referring to him as Whiskers anyway, I feel like we should have kept this at the nickname rather than at a generic description. --abates (talk) 18:01, 5 June 2016 (EDT)
- Make sense to me. --Projectus (talk) 18:13, 5 June 2016 (EDT)
- I dunno, it wasn't "everyone" who called him that. Just the four Bots. Cody and the rest of the Burnses still just called him "the lion", and Huxley's broadcast of the event had him use the formal "cross-eyed lion" moniker that was used by both Cody and the Mayor back in the lion's debut episode. --Sabrblade (talk) 21:56, 5 June 2016 (EDT)
- Cody called him Whiskers during this episode: "That must be why he took Whiskers. His eyes are special." I think when a major amount of the screentime is spent referring to him as Whiskers, and major characters are refering to him as such, and he doesn't have an alternate official name, we should stick to having the article at his nickname. --abates (talk) 22:54, 5 June 2016 (EDT)
