Is that the best way to add the info about Dead End's GDO release? Despite the name and bio, the colors and the tech specs are clearly Wildrider, so it could be argued that the intent was to make the figure Wildrider.Larkmarn 15:30, 1 November 2012 (EDT)

Offroad

So just like over on Slingshot's talk page regarding Alpha Bravo, I guess I will ask here: what makes Offroad a new name for Wildrider rather than a new character? --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 13:33, 13 August 2014 (EDT)

I am convinced that Offroad and Alpha Bravo are new characters colored and designed in place of Wildrider and Slingshot. We won't know until we get the bios, but the only things they share in common are color scheme and role as combiner limb. All of the other Stunticons and Aerialbots are significantly more accurate in terms of design, and both Wildrider and Slingshot have had naming issues related to trademarks. Hasbro might've just given up and made new characters. I think assuming either way at this point is too early, but I don't think they should necessarily be put on the pages for Wildrider and Slingshot yet. Antimatter (talk) 13:45, 13 August 2014 (EDT)

I can almost guarantee that, during the Combiner Wars crossover, the models for Alpha Bravo and Offroad will be used by Slingshot and Wildrider, respectively; I'd be very surprised if the G1-guys just up and left or were killed and were outright replaced by "new" characters. Thus, I think it's a bit hasty to outright remove them from here for now; indeed, at worst we're likely going to just stick a "repurposed" tag in the toy descriptions. While it is still premature to outright declare Offroad a new character since he hasn't shown up yet, I do think the Offroad stuff on this page should be dealt with differently now. At least at a glance, I only see a couple and they're all making fun of the ridiculous early 2000s messaging that you should "go out and buy a bunch of stuff otherwise the terrorists win."
