Why the disambig? Is there any other Windblade character extant or planned? --Thylacine 2000 (talk) 23:41, 25 January 2014 (EST)

The Japanese Kre-O manga had a Kreon version of her. Escargon (talk) 23:45, 25 January 2014 (EST)

Scabbard

[edit]

There are tabs on each side of her scabbard that seem to plug into the slots on her thighs (it seems like a logical place to store it too) The instructions doesn't mention anything about this. Could it be a legitimate feature or am I imagining things. Riddlerj (talk) 21:28, 13 September 2014 (EDT)

"Despite not being labeled as such anywhere on the packaging, she is also recognized as #30 of the Thrilling 30 toys sub-series." - There's a big ol' "30 of 30" on the packaging of mine, bought from Amazon. - Diem, who doesn't know how to sig.

Reception

[edit]

Would if be worth mentioning the massive backlash towards her? Avalanche (talk) 15:24, 22 March 2017 (EDT)

"Massive". Saix (talk) 15:38, 22 March 2017 (EDT)
If the ruined forever page can list her as an example, (cause let's be honest, that wasn't on the page until she came around, and the talk page for said page even cites loads of vitriol against her as the reason for its inclusion) then I think her own goddamn page should mention it. Avalanche (talk) 17:02, 22 March 2017 (EDT)
Because the Ruined Forever article is about mocking whiny manchildren, not a serious list of people's concerns about the franchise. If Windblade's page had a "reception" section (which it won't), it would basically just amount to "a bunch of fragile babies got upset about girl robots, the end". Also, yes, Windblade wouldn't be listed on any pages until she "came around". Very good. --M Sipher (talk) 23:58, 22 March 2017 (EDT)
Should have been more clear. I meant the "Radical Feminist SJWs" note wasn't on the Ruined Forever page until Windblade came around. Either way, I can see where you're all coming from, and concede. Avalanche (talk) 13:25, 23 March 2017 (EDT)

Split out the IDW section?

[edit]

It's a pretty long section and Windblade is likely to appear in future G1 comics. TimeLord11 (talk) 07:43, 6 February 2019 (EST)

Makes sense to me. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 16:40, 6 February 2019 (EST)
I can get behind that. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 17:03, 6 February 2019 (EST)
Personally I would maybe wait a bit until she gets some more appearances in IDW2 or some other media, because at present this is like half of her page and the thing that defines 90% of her fictional appearances. Grum (talk)
Yeah, I would be reluctant because you wouldn't so much be splitting the IDW sectiom off from the rest of the page so much as the reverse, since it's (literally) the majority of it as things stand.
[What's going to happen with IDW19 fiction anyway? Logically, given that it's a hard reboot, it should be treated entirely seperate from IDW05 - at least as much as Sunbow/Marvel/Dreamwave/etc are - but is it going to be?] - Mammalian Verisimilitude (talk) 19:37, 6 February 2019 (EST)

Autobirds?

[edit]

Shouldn't Windblade's page display the Autobirds faction, since Silver basically becomes Windblade in Angry Birds Transformers? - Steelshadow (talk) 05:08, 25 December 2019 (EST)

That's not how we do things here. Silver (AB) has her own page, as do each of the Autobirds, separate from the Transformers they play as. --Khajidha (talk) 09:52, 25 December 2019 (EST)

Onna bugeisha

[edit]
"Speaking of her Japanese motifs, her finalized helmet was apparently designed to resemble the hairstyle commonly worn by the onna-bugeisha, the upper-class warrior-women of feudal Japan."
Can anyone clear up what "apparently" means? Was it mentioned during the presentation that this is the core idea behind her design, or is this the fandom's interpretation of what her design is supposed to look like? (I've been meaning to write some more about her design, but I can't without knowing if this is intentional or interpretational.) BerylRoll (talk) 01:47, 24 January 2026 (EST)
Anyone? Without further clarification, I'm inclined to interpret "apparently" as what was said during the interpretation and therefore redundant. BerylRoll (talk) 10:20, 31 January 2026 (EST)
I went ahead and made some alterations, ultimately throwing out "Her finalized helmet was apparently designed to resemble the hairstyle commonly worn by the onna bugeisha, the upper-class warrior-women of feudal Japan." because this sentence makes limited sense and without knowledge if this (or parts of it) was actually said in an official capacity, there's no (efficient) addressing it. Long story short, there is no such thing as an onna bugeisha hairstyle (whatever they wore is just what women wore) and "upper-class warrior-women" is a tad misleading phrasing for "women that belong to warrior(samurai?) families". Furthermore, the side-wings of Windblade's helmet are distinctly Edo-inspired and those updos are not what you wear into battle unless a surprise-attack forces you to and even then the updo will not hold long; it's designed to be attractive, not practical.
If I'm wrong about anything, do correct me. BerylRoll (talk) 11:20, 3 February 2026 (EST)
