This must be Windcharger's art. But it's not official! Oh, the harshness of reality. I think we need to either get it published somewhere or ask Aaron Archer to approve it. Yeah.

I'm not obsessed. --ItsWalky 07:03, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Jackpot's "Return to Sender"; very cool. That picture and WC's UK team-up with Ravage(toy-based model and all) make him a measurable 175% better than the average Minibot. I still remember the 'Windcharger gets crushed by sliding doors' ending from one of the Find Your Fate books...--Autobus Prime 17:08, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Crasher

[edit]

Did Windcharger have a girlfriend named Crasher?

Unless it was something that Dreamwave did, no. Plus, she's a Renegade. It'd never work out. --Monzo 02:08, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Dodge Charger LX?

[edit]

Seriously? Windcharger looks nothing like this. If anything, he's a genericized muscle car with a bit of Ford Mustang and some Dodge Challenger thrown in. The rear window, of course, is taken straight from G1 Windcharger.--Nevermore 05:07, 2 March 2011 (EST)

Change it then. --FFN 05:14, 2 March 2011 (EST)
Okay, apparently I was wrong on one account - the vent in the hood resembles that of a Dodge Charger SRT-8. That's where the similarities end, however.--Nevermore 07:46, 3 March 2011 (EST)

2010 toy

[edit]

This description sure is a giant clusterfuck. Just say "muscle car" and be done with it, man. If you have to smush four cars together to get it, it doesn't look like any of them.

(And there's a picture of Windcharger's legs RIGHT THERE.)

Transformers 2010 toy

[edit]

Anyone care to add how he wasn't really released? I mean, do a few dozen being sold in the UK really count? Were any actually seen in US stores? I think the fact that a "normal release" scout class costs BotCon exclusive prices because of how ill distributed it was warrants some mention.

He was purchased at US retail. And he wasn't just released in the UK either. I picked up about two dozen at German stores and shipped them to people in the US. In fact, the ones I found more recently showed that he was a shelfwarmer in my neck of the woods.--Nevermore 12:54, 15 November 2011 (EST)
Far as I know he was only ever confirmed at Ross. "such as" is a little generous. --76.28.76.206 15:43, 15 November 2011 (EST)
Also at CVS --Khajidha 15:57, 15 November 2011 (EST)
Yeah, I think the US is the only place that had problems with its release, up in Canada he was available at regular retail and grocery stores. --Detour 17:58, 15 November 2011 (EST)
And now apparently at Five Below.--Nevermore 11:29, 17 November 2011 (EST)

Windcharger's death in TF:TM

[edit]

I was looking at the storyboard sequence for the end of the Battle of Autobot City, and noticed that it twice (at 8:11 and 8:15) refers to Windcharger as 'wounded' rather than dead; 8:17 shows Arcee reacting with grief to his death. This makes more sense than Arcee wasting time lugging his corpse around, and contextualises her reaction in the finished movie. Also, in the movie, Windcharger's eyes are still lit up while she's dragging him, but have gone dead when he's shown alongside Wheeljack. A minor detail, but it's kind of cool to still be noticing new things 35 years after first watching it! Tribimat (talk) 08:55, 9 October 2021 (EDT)

Find Your Fate Desert Flight

[edit]

That's not Windcharger in that picture -it's Tracks. Windcharger is a Trans Am, and that is clearly a Corvette.

"Green-and-yellow" Lynsa Windcharger

[edit]

So I found this site with images of the presumed green / yellow Lynsa version of Windcharger that's mentioned in this article... Except, I'm pretty sure that this is literally just the regular blue / grey version of Lynsa Windcharger after undergoing extensive photodegradation, it is very common for blue plastic to degrade into green and the grey-to-yellow is pretty damn typical. Am I wrong and is this, in fact, a genuine retail variant? Or am I right and, given how these seem to be the only images of a "green and yellow" Windcharger in existence, the whole claim of such a variant existing might be 100% wrong? If anyone with more expertise could chime in then I'd appreciate it. (FortressMaxxing (talk) 05:40, 26 July 2025 (EDT))

Since there hasn't been an update on this, I have added to the article that the existence of the yellow / green version is, as of now, more conjectural than anything. (FortressMaxxing (talk) 01:14, 30 July 2025 (EDT))
Unfortunately, I'd say your either right about the photodegradation or it's been customised. If you take a good look at the arms, especially the parts that slide into the torso, you can see they're still grey there. While in the bird's-eye view photo of the car mode, there's a few spots (e.g. right in front of the front windscreen and on the lower front wheel arch) where it almost looks like paint has chipped off and the grey plastic is showing through.
