Teletraan-X is the evil, cold, female-voiced Autobot computer that runs their spaceship/base, the Ark. She's a stickler for regulations being strictly followed, and is willing to dole out punishment for any transgressions with her mechanical tentacles. She makes the ever-scheming Goldbug really nervous.

After the Autobots had initially recovered from crash-landing on Earth, Goldbug challenged Rodimus' attempt to declare himself the new leader of their group. The two found themselves evenly matched in strength, but Goldbug had the advantage in how long he could fight before getting tired. So Rodimus tried a different approach: he had Teletraan-X delete Goldbug's personnel file. Teletraan-X promptly did so, then declared the now fileless Goldbug an unidentified intruder and restrained him with tentacles wrapped around his body and limbs and holding him in the air. Goldbug tried frantically to undelete his file, but Teletraan-X refused to recognize his security clearance. He then yielded when Rodimus threatened to behead him with his buzzsaw arm, which—technically—wasn't cheating according to the leadership challenge rules.

After Goldbug agreed to accept Rodimus as his leader and serve as second-in-command, Rodimus ordered Teletraan-X to release him. The computer pointed out that Goldbug hadn't yet apologized for his transgression. Goldbug initially found the thought ridiculous, until Teletraan-X "convinced" him to change his mind and say he was sorry.

Rodimus wisely had Wheeljack reprogram Teletraan-X after that so she would only recognize orders from the two of them. He then used her sensor net to locate what he needed for his plan to take over Earth. Eye in the Sky

When Goldbug bumped into Teletraan-X's main console while Rodimus was chewing him out for his latest bout of scheming, the computer scared Goldbug by beeping at him ominously. After eventually being consigned to salvage duty with Seaspray, Teletraan-X's presence made Goldbug nervous enough to not protest his fate. Blitzwing Bop
