BotBots

[edit]
  • Blind Bag Mystery Figures (Single pack, 2020)
  • Series: 5
  • ID code: 5
  • Level: 2 Star
Part of the fifth series of BotBots, Telly is a redeco of Goob Toob, transforming into an old CRT television set... with a remote control smashed through the screen. Whoops. One too many bad jokes, maybe? (Looks around nervously)
He is available in the blindpacked single-bot packages. He comes 1 to a case of 24, like everyone else in the assortment. The Series 5 Mystery Figures assortment was initially skipped by retailers in the US, eventually appearing in June 2021 at Dollar Tree and Five Below stores.
This mold was also used to make Blindspot, TV Cop, and Yule B. Bored.

  • Hibotchi Heats (8-pack, 2020)
  • Series: 5
  • Level: 2 Star
Telly is also available in one of the "Hibotchi Heats"-themed 8-packs, packed in with Flood Jug, Lieutenant Lo Mein, Nomaste, Slurp-A-Derp, Special Optics, Sweet Fang, and a blindpacked Skippy Dippy Disc.
This set is a "recommended minimum buy" for a complete set of Series 5 BotBots.

Notes

[edit]
  • Telly and Outta Order are the victims of a Hasbro mixup: both the pack-in checklist and official website have their names swapped, with the bios swapped on the site as well. Thus, when you click on the TV set Bot, you get a bio for an arcade cabinet, and vice-versa. And while "Outta Order" does work with a TV given this deco, "Telly" doesn't make much sense at all as an arcade cabinet's name. So, this wiki presents them with the names they should have.
    • They're not the only Series 5 BotBots to suffer this kind of mixup: Bot-T-Builder and Lightweight got their names swapped on the checklist, but their website bios are at least correct.
