Use the template {{notareference}} on a new user's talk page when they've cited a mind-numbingly unlikely "reference" to previous Transformers fiction, pop culture, or that fanfic they wrote that Aaron Archer totally liked.

Two unrelated things may have some kind of vague, remote, tiny, tenuous similarity, but that alone does not a reference make. Please try to avoid grasping at straws.
