Tetsuya Ikeda (池田哲也) is a prolific Japanese industrial designer who has worked on everything from car alarms to crockpots to data servers and back again across a long career stretching at least as far back as the 1970's. He had an unusually productive stint with TakaraTomy in 1988 that really resonated with Marvel Comics author Simon Furman and the rest is Transformers history.
