Transformers: Space Pirates, published by Titan Books, is the fourth trade paperback in their reprint series of colour Marvel UK comics. In the stories set in the present day, it covers the resurrection of Ultra Magnus, Galvatron and the Megatron clone during the lead-up to "Time Wars". In the future stories we see the planning of the construction of Autobot City: Earth, as well as the Quintessons' attempt to destroy the Transformers and colonise Cybertron.

- The prologue and epilogue to "The Big Broadcast of 2006"

Advertisements
[edit]- Titan TPBs Transformers: Target: 2006, Transformers: Fallen Angel, Transformers: Legacy of Unicron and, er, Transformers: Space Pirates; coming soon: Transformers: Time Wars
- Dreamwave Productions's "Transformers: the Comic Book" (and Transformers Armada mentioned in a footnote)
- Robot Wars Magazine
Notes
[edit]- Alongside the introductory history, there is a reprint of an article from the Thrills section of the New Musical Express covering Richard Branson's cameo in "Salvage!" — as well as featuring line art from the issue, it had this to say:
DICK BRANSON is a dead groovy guy. All ready famous as a pickle mogul, a music baron and a record breaker, the world's richest bearded git now moves into the world of Giant Robot Destroying! Yes, those wicked shape-changing Decepticon robots really meet their match when they cross dicks with Dick in issue 160 of the crap comic Transformers. Basically this giant robot shark is well pissed off with Dick and tries to do him but Dick's too hard. Does this mark a new era of Dick style superheroes? Superdick? The Incredible Hippy? Spider Branson? Captain Capitalist? Thrills hopes not.Steven Wells, New Musical Express
- The history also documents the minor controversy concerning the naming of the planet Mil-Wal, Wreck-Gar's sly reference to The Prisoner, and Dreadwind replacing Grimlock as the host of the letters page in "The Wind of Change!".
- The history twice refers to the Transformers Annual 1989 as coming out in 1998.
