Transformers Prime: Pulsar Defense is an online game tying in with Transformers: Prime. It was made available on the Hubworld web site in 2013.
Plot
[edit]The Decepticons have constructed an Energon Drain in an asteroid field. Optimus Prime promptly comes up with a plan to build a Pulsar Dish using the drifting debris in the field. The Decepticons soon catch wind of the plan and attack the dish as it's constructed, but the Autobots are able to see them off, and complete the dish in time to use it to destroy the Energon Drain.
Gameplay
[edit]
The game includes five stages, in which a different part of the dish is constructed. The player must pluck passing components from the "space vortex" and place them on the glowing framework, completing each section within the time frame. Also floating past are powerups to get extra points and slow down time, as well as Decepticon insignias which deduct points. If the dish is not completed in time, it's destroyed by the Energon Drain.
Complicating matters are the Decepticons, who will drop down on the left-hand side of the screen and take pot shots at the partially completed dish. Though their laser fire will destroy parts of the dish, rocks can be piled up to form a barrier they must blast through before they can hit the dish. This will slow them down a bit, but not a lot.
Helping are, of course, the Autobots and their human sidekicks. Optimus Prime can be summoned to use the Star Saber on attacking Decepticons, and likewise Bulkhead and Miko can be summoned to beat them up. Arcee and Jack Darby provide a scanning beam that highlights the drifting components you need for the current section of dish. Bumblebee and Raf somehow increase the number of powerups drifting past. Finally Ratchet can be summoned to resurrect components of the dish which have been destroyed.
