"Tubian diggers" are animals native to Tube. They have some resemblance to rodents or mongooses as found on Earth and dig themselves a network of tunnels to live in.

Not much of a people person but good with animals, the Maximal Randy was stationed on Tube to protect and monitor its wildlife. There, a friendship formed between him and a family of Tubian diggers and he entrusted them with the Angolmois Capsule that ended up on the planet. One day, Randy and the digger family were observed interacting by the Predacons Saberback and Sling when they arrived in search of the capsule. Randy let it slip that he knew about the Angolmois Capsule but accused the two of being poachers and chased them away to protect his animal friends. The whole kerfuffle inspired Saberback to abduct the baby digger and keep him hostage to force Randy to hand over the Angolmois Capsule. The abduction was easy and to have his hands free, he left the baby in the care of Guiledart and DNAVI on board the Dinosaur. Saberback let the adult diggers inform Randy first so that he had a good taste of their despair when the Predacons repeated their demand for the Angolmois Capsule. Randy acquiesced and the two critters led him through their tunnels to reach the capsule. When Randy got it to the surface, the Maximals Stampy and Colada figured out what was going on, but with the baby digger still on board the Dinosaur, their knowing meant nothing. Fortunately, Guiledart and DNAVI had been taking exceptional care of the baby digger and more fortunately, he peed in DNAVI's face, which provoked her into teleporting him back to Tube just before Randy got sicced on his own colleagues. Saberback recaptured the baby digger and fled into the diggers' tunnels to escape Colada and Randy, who followed right behind him. In an underground room, Colada managed to grab the baby digger from Saberback so Randy was able to go all out on the kidnapper. With him and Sling defeated, the baby digger was reunited with his relieved parents. Charge! Randy

[edit]- The lighter patches of fur on the digger family each resemble an article of clothing. The female looks like she's wearing an apron, the male looks like he's wearing a tie, and the baby looks like he's wearing a bib.
