The Decepticons stole a turbine mole machine from the humans. Somehow, they fit inside. Storms of Destruction
When the Decepticon ground station in northeast America was attacked by the Autobots, Megatron and Soundwave fled the complex in a turbine mole machine. Satellite of Doom After this, Megatron had his engineers modify the mole machine in preparation for another plan. Megatron wanted to obtain the oil stored under the jungles of Peru, so he and Soundwave drove the turbine mole machine over the Pacific Ocean's floor to the coast of Peru and started boring underneath the oil pools. The idea was that the ocean water would fill a network of tunnels and push the oil towards the surface.
The first tunnel collapsed, destroying Machu Picchu's part of the Andes Mountains, but that was the only setback they had to deal with. Once the oil reached the surface, Megatron and Soundwave transferred themselves to a Decepticon defoliator craft to oversee the rest of the operation. When inevitably the Autobots stopped them, they went back to the turbine mole machine and escaped. Storms of Destruction
