Tusk is old even by his friend Censere's standards; old enough to have met the Knights of Cybertron.

Fiction

2005 IDW continuity

Long ago, Tusk and Censere worked together at a census office on Cybertron. When Censere left the census office and retrained as a forensic pathologist he lost contact with Tusk, whose subsequent death went unreported. This set Censere on the path of his calling as the Necrobot, keeping a record of every Cybertronian's death. The Not Knowing
