Convention appearances

• BotCon 2007 (He and fellow castmate Rachael Taylor were there for a charity screening next door<ref>Business Wire. 2007-05-01</ref>, so they made a brief appearance before the BotCon screening of the movie, but in that short amount of time he did, in fact, bring it.)
• Gibson was scheduled to appear at a panel during BotCon 2009's Saturday activities, but couldn't make it due to illness for which he was hospitalized. Gibson managed to make it for Saturday night's Paramount Party night while under medication. Appropriately, he turned up riding inside Ratchet. A consequence of this was Hasbro's Saturday product preview panel was longer than usual so that Gibson could appear on Hasbro's Sunday panel.
• While not really a guest proper at BotCon 2011, Gibson was announced as in the audience at the Transformers Hall of Fame presentation, much to the surprise and delight of the crowd.

• Gibson has a tattoo on his right arm that incorporates the Autobot insignia.[1]
