The USS Flagg (CV-66) aircraft carrier is the G. I. Joe team's floating headquarters. It's capable of launching and recovering entire strike forces anywhere in the world at a moment's notice, making it one of the Joe team's trump cards against threats large and small.

The G.I. Joe forces on Earth regrouped on the USS Flagg after their first encounter and battle with the Decepticons at T.H.E. P.I.T.. I Saw Three Ships Faking the death of Hawk, the Joes held a false funeral on the ship in order to feign weakness and draw out Cobra, who took the bait and attacked the Flagg with their Decepticon allies in search of the body of Soundwave. Starscream and Shockwave tore through the ship's hull in search of their dead ally, but retreated when they learned he was not on board. Funeral for a Friend
