USS Miskatonic

The USS Miskatonic is a ship from the Hearts of Steel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Miskatonic was traveling to Ireland when it was suddenly attacked by an Elder God rising from beneath the waves. The Autobot Ironhide, who was disguised as one of the ship's gun turrets, managed to escape before it was ripped to shreds and sunk by the monster's tentacles. • The ship itself looks like an [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Olympia-class cruiser|{{#if:Olympia-class protected cruiser|Olympia-class protected cruiser|Olympia-class cruiser}}]], her name also doesn't follow [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}United States ship naming conventions|{{#if:USN battleship's naming conventions|USN battleship's naming conventions|United States ship naming conventions}}]] where cruisers are typically named after US cities, territories, and/or towns.
