Please don't upload AI upscales of existing images. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:42, 5 December 2024 (EST)
- Gotcha, they were screencaps from YouTube so I didn't realize AI was used to upscale them. I take it then I shouldn't upload any similarly upscaled photos, but not pre-existing as well? (For example: a photo I was planning on uploading of Primus fighting off the Black Hole from Titans). Daytonjhammon (talk) 16:51, 5 December 2024 (EST)
- Yeah, we prefer any images not be AI upscaled, as details tend to get lost or corrupted in the process. If you notice any particularly low-quality images, mark it with a {{badimage}} template. Many of us have DVDs we can rip from to get the image at its original 480p source quality, usually without all the extra fuzz that tends to come with even non-upscaled YouTube uploads. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:09, 5 December 2024 (EST)
All Sparks image
[edit]It's actually okay if an image drops into the next section in cases like the Age of Evolution page, where it just dips into a "Notes" section that's lacking images anyway. Not saying it needs to go back in though, as it's not THE most illustrative image and the page is fine without it. --M Sipher (talk) 14:30, 20 December 2024 (EST)
