Stalker?

[edit]

Iunno, I've been gnoming here a few weeks now. Adding to my work, you say? What did you ambiguate, you dastardly fiend? Jeep! 21:49, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh I set a link to the Megatron disem what ever thingy, cos I couldn't decide which one to use in the Animated Bulkhead trivia I added. Oh and all those bad links in the Mold article I wrote.Dead Metal 08:48, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Don Fiuera?

[edit]

Dude, given this is the wiki, you could have attempted to look for his name for the correct way to spell it. Wait, did he even release these in an official Transformers capacity? It is a legally dubious area if we're uploading concept art that Hasbro never intended to see the light of day. --FFN 16:31, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Shit I misspelled it AGAIN? o_O I thought I had it right that time round.
He posted that pic at unicron.com, so yea I think it's legal, wait I should actually put a referance to that and update the copyright on it, must do that now.Dead Metal 17:49, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

OK, I'm still new to this kind of posting, so JP just doesn't answer me then...Dead Metal 18:46, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

I would if you posted on my talk page. Only caught this cause I looked over my watchlist there now. Silly moo. :P Jeep! 18:48, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Really? This system confuses me, well know I know.Dead Metal 19:06, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Means I get that little reminder to tell me to check my talk page. Oh, bollocks, forgot to sign it. Well, I'd best stop the chat here, that's what CE's for. Toodles. Jeep! 19:21, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Please stop speculating in articles that the unused concept Classics Soundwave inspired Universe Ironhide, because other than the fact they are both SUV type vehicles and they use the back-vehicle chest (in different orientations), they aren't very similar. Neither did he inspire Stockade. Really, the only toy it may have inspired was Animated Soundwave. --FFN 01:04, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
(Once again, copy pasting your response from my talk page, as you're supposed to reply or comment where ever the original question was posted so the conversations don't seen disjointed.)
Did I forget tho erase that stuff?
Cos I had a closer look at him and noticed that they just share the alt, have similar legs and almost the same chest, just that Soundwave's is upside down. I wanted to remove that link, Stockate on the other hand, shares the same alt-mode, so I thought that would count, I mean it's even shaped the just like Soundwave's.
So sorry if I forgot tho do that, and if you had checked I has stopped to do that quite some time ago. Dead Metal 12:40, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, Ironhide has backwards orientations for his legs. The front of the vehicle is his knees while his windscreen is on his back. Soundwave has the front of the car as the soles of his feet. Stockade is an SUV because... he's based on the SUVs used by Sector Seven in the Transformers movie. Besides, Soundwave is actually more of a lowrider type wagon, like Animated Soundwave or the Dodge Magnum vehicle mode used by Cybertron Red Alert, Cannonball and Movie Crankcase.
Anyway, no harm done. --FFN 13:01, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, I'd say that that Soundwave design is definitely inspired by the Cadillac Escalade, just like Stockade, but it's a dropped version, more akin to what you'd find on an album cover or in a v--Sunjumper 13:59, 25 April 2009 (EDT)ideo than the sort of thing used by a government agency. 70.43.53.98 14:27, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Soundwave's injury

[edit]
I'm just trying to note that one of soundwave's speakers got blown off by sari in human error part one, and that the point of having that wound in the virtual world is odd.--Sunjumper 13:59, 25 April 2009 (EDT)
I think you're referring to when he reprogrammed them and we saw him on the screen. If you look at the background of that screen you can see his basement lab, maning that is live footage he takes in the real world and feeding it into the virtual world.Dead Metal 16:04, 25 April 2009 (EDT)
I saw him more then once with the same wound in the virtual world, and he was also always in the Electrostatic Soundwaves colors, even on the monitor.--Sunjumper 16:39, 25 April 2009 (EDT)
Nope monitor was dark, explaining why he was dark blue, he wasn't black he was dark blue.Dead Metal 03:20, 26 April 2009 (EDT)
Actually he is in electrostatic colours, but I still think that's a livestream on the monitor.Dead Metal 03:22, 26 April 2009 (EDT)

hey

[edit]

Please try to keep swearing out of articles themselves. --FFN 15:29, 27 June 2009 (EDT)

Doctor B

[edit]

Regarding his GoBots fiction, I asked in the Community Portal about that very thing, and the response was to go ahead and put it in as long as it was in a separate section from TF stuff. Thanos6 06:46, 9 July 2009 (EDT)

OK that's why I asked before I deleted it. Dead Metal 06:47, 9 July 2009 (EDT)

Category spam

[edit]

STOP IT. For god's sake, STOP. You are not contributing. You are wasting other people's time fixing your pointless non-additions. --M Sipher 12:45, 29 July 2009 (EDT)

I was only following the tip given by Help:Categories not to create a category but put a red link to it so it's easier to remove than actually starting an article for it. And if it's generally not liked I would of course go back and revert my edits myself. Dead Metal 12:48, 29 July 2009 (EDT)
(facepalm) How about bringing up potential categories in a discussion page like Community Portal rather than puking them all over a dozen pages THEN going back and erasing them in the intensely-likely event that they will be deemed useless? It doesn't matter if the actual category is made or not, you're still jamming useless categories onto numerous pages for no good reason, leaving other editors to clean up your mess. --M Sipher 12:52, 29 July 2009 (EDT)
Actually I think a "Cannibals category is a good idea and not useless, we need something on Cannibals as there are quite a few around in the TF world. And that's what the help page said, putting it there and give a few days time to see the reaction to it.Dead Metal 12:56, 29 July 2009 (EDT)
We already have ~1000 categories... to the point where personally I'm wondering if we can condense and consolidate some of them. My own rule of thumb would be, if it's not a group that specifically shows up as a label in canon sources somehow, then it needs more justification than just "I think it'd be a good idea". So unless there's a group of characters specifically labelled in canon as cannibals, rather than just a fan decision of "Well, I think these characters ate someone at some point..." --Jeysie 13:42, 29 July 2009 (EDT)
But wouldn't characters that are actually shown to eat a other TF or are said to do so in fiction actually a Cannibal?Dead Metal 13:45, 29 July 2009 (EDT)
I think Jimsorenson just did me the favor of writing up how I would have responded more or less: Why some categories are bad ideas.
Basically, if they're specifically labelled in the fiction as being cannibals, you might have a case. Otherwise, any time someone creates a character page they now have to stop and think about whether the character ever ate someone, or when a new story comes out remember that character now ate someone and now the category needs to be added, etc. And then multply that by 1000+ categories.
In short, it's hard enough keeping track of the officially labelled distinctions already without making people need to keep track of stuff fans just made up, too. --Jeysie 13:56, 29 July 2009 (EDT)
I already read and understood that part of the article. But I do think we really do need something about cannibalism. I'll work on an article in my scrapheap. Dead Metal 14:28, 29 July 2009 (EDT)

on this edit here. --FFN 10:08, 30 August 2009 (EDT)

I'll go and find the interview, it's ether on the idw boards, in an idw comic or it was at AutoAssembly08. Dead Metal 15:05, 30 August 2009 (EDT)
Found something well it's not the source I have it from but still. It's in the first paragraph under the A) B) thing. Dead Metal 15:10, 30 August 2009 (EDT)
Yeah, I already added the cite to the page... after finding the same source, actually. --Jeysie 16:16, 30 August 2009 (EDT)
Yea I noticed as I wanted to ad it, but I was to lazy to say so, pretty funny actually. Dead Metal 17:39, 30 August 2009 (EDT)
