Apostrophes

[edit]

I recommend brushing up on the correct use of apostrophes before making further edits. An edit that contains incorrect punctuation is much more likely to be reverted out-of-hand. JW 12:46, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Grapnel

[edit]

In addition, assuming in print that readers won't know what "grapnel" means is needlessly condescending. If they don't know and try to "fix" it, then we'll tell them.

There are numerous other words on this wiki, I'm sure, which may be unfamiliar to some readers, but we don't mark them with "This is a real word, not a typo" on the pages themselves. At most, if some person or people keep trying to "correct" the word, we can insert an explanation into the markup text for the page, framed with "<!-- -->" so it'll be visible only if you try and edit it. (See the Dinobot (BW) article's Edit window for an example.)--Apcog 15:17, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

OK, i appologise.

Quite all right. Sit back, relax, enjoy the buffet, and don't forget to tip the waitstaff.--Apcog 02:48, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Please proofread your contributions more thoroughly. By default, we require correct English in our articles, including correct spelling, punctuation, and use of capital letters. If your edits don't follow these rules, other editors may choose to revert them rather than spend their time cleaning up your mistakes. {{ #if: |{{ #if: |  |
