Character appearance stubs

Yo, here's my deal with removing those stubs to the IDW Megatron page (and others). Take for example adding a Megatron appearance for RID # 7 "Dinobot Hunt". Megatron shows up in that montage that accompanies Prowl's analysis of the war. Does that really count as part of MEGATRON's history? "Prowl mentioned Megatron to Bumblebee" or some such would have to be the write-up. It doesn't show us any new information about Megatron- it is just a visual aid for the reader.

And does that mean that every time someone shows up in a montage and not some actual image in-fiction that it belongs in that section? Like the montage of events spanning the entire IDW continuity in Chaos Theory, Part 1? Does that count as a Verity Carlo appearance that needs to be recorded on her page? Seems to me that stuff like that is best left referenced on the actual issue's page, or at best...in the history of the character actually making the recall.

I removed those stubs because I don't think the person who added them looked at those issues to see what the appearance listed actually WAS. If you've got some better reasoning that they should stay, I would, with respect, like to hear it. --Nu-Priest (talk) 15:02, 10 February 2015 (EST)

Yes, every time a character appears in a story, it should have a mention in the fiction area, even in flashbacks and recounted information. If "Prowl mentioned Megatron once in a conversation with whoever" doesn't work, merely move that storylink to where that original occurrence happened, right behind the storylink of what's being referenced. PNGs

Yes, for filesize reasons. But that only applies to screencaps/comic scans/etc, since there's no benefit to saving them as PNGs rather than JPGs.

On the other hand, it's the only practical way to get a transparent-backed logo and in the case of the Angry Birds Megatron pic, I took the file directly from the Angry Birds Transformers website, and it was only something like 40kb and not worth the quality reduction. - SanityOrMadness (talk) 17:39, 4 April 2015 (EDT)

PNGs are good for transparently-backed logos, yes. That's one of the few allowed reasons we have them on this site -- also for stuff that needs to be crisper for readability. But a simple artwork off a website should be JPG. That is our policy. --ItsWalky (talk) 18:22, 4 April 2015 (EDT)

I created pages for Battle Masters characters simply because I thought Giggidy was an admin, I mean to me he speak so admin-ish here: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Talk:Battle_Masters. 2) I did not delete his contributions. You can't delete somebody's contributions. Just, like, find the last time he edited something on the Recent Changes page and click the (contribs) link next to his name.

Article Creation Question

Hey there! Was looking at the broken links in Sins of the Wreckers issue 3 and was curious about what to do with Nome. For a real-world location with very, very little Transformers-related fiction set in it, might it be more fitting for me to simply link it to Alaska's page (with appropriate mention added to that article)? Two Things

1. When looking at a pages history, what do the green plus' and red minus' mean? 2. When I edited a caption on Under-3 to change the reference from Arby's to a Happy Meal (the logic being that Under-3s original toy was sold with a Happy Meal, so it made more sense to reference that), you edited it back and said "no that's not the godbeep joke." So, what is the joke? I was under the impression that the joke was that he goes on this dark depressing rant, and then immediately follows it up with a standard cheery cashier catchphrase. Titan Returns Leader Optimus

I just wanted to do a little research into the situation with the Leader class Optimus Prime base mode. I'm thinking that the issue you mentioned with the gun might be a hit-or-miss situation and it might be helpful to note if there's something there.

You originally mentioned that the gun can't plug into the chest plate. I was able to, but it's a tight fit. Do you think maybe a molding defect or even just the paint on the peg make some copies impossible to connect while others don't? Or could it just be a case of QA missing a one-off defect? I got a TR Ravage not too long ago, and one of its wings is missing some plastic. I thought a similar case might be a possibility. --King Starscream (talk) 15:25, 30 September 2016 (EDT)
