So, anyone got any thoughts on this before I take it live? Jalaguy (talk) 16:44, 21 September 2014 (EDT)

I think it's perfect. And it should probably be applied on any other page that lists it by faction instead of wave. Escargon (talk) 16:47, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Well, pre-BW toylines mostly shipped in faction-specific cases with no revisions within a year. I might have a play around and see if there's anything that could be done, though. Jalaguy (talk) 17:05, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
This may be just me, but I'd kinda prefer that all the Transmetals, Fuzors, Transmetal 2s, Fox Kids non-TMs, Fox Kids Transmetals, and Mutants all be organized into their own separate groupings. This isn't a demand, but a suggestion. --Sabrblade (talk) 17:07, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Do you mean for, say, 1998:

Fuzors

Basic
Deluxe

Transmetals

Deluxe
Mega
Ultra
Super
I'd be okay with it for that year, since everything's in separate assortments with "Fuzors" and "Transmetals" logos, but I wouldn't really want to separate stuff that was in the same case assortments. Makes dealing with waves kind of awkward, and in the case of the Fox Kids stuff, there's no difference in packaging between the '99 TMs and non-TMs. Jalaguy (talk) 17:26, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Hmm, maybe at least keeping the Fox Kids TMs and non-TMs together as one "Fox Kids" group would be fine. I guess what mostly inspired my like of keeping the groups separate was how they were organized on beastwars.com back in the day. --Sabrblade (talk) 17:35, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Changed up the organization a bit, and made use of some pricepoint names from that checklist. The sublines are clearly labeled now, and I moved the Fox Kids 'Classics' out from the middle of the TM2s. Jalaguy (talk) 18:02, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Here is another official Hasbro checklist that uses some slightly different pricepoint names (namely the lack of the word "Beast"). --Sabrblade (talk) 18:27, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Hmm. Given that the case assortment info I used also had the 'Beasts', and the BW.com checklist is more contemporary, I'm leaning towards keeping it. I'll add those BJ's two-packs too. Do we know if that list's assertion that the VHS packs were TRU-exclusive is accurate? Jalaguy (talk) 18:37, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
I do remember getting my VHS Airazor and Razorclaw from TRU (as that's where most of my BWs came from back then), but I don't recall if they were mass release or not. Best to take that inquiry to the Allspark forums or someplace. Though, the second list came from Hasbro.com and continued to be updated as the years went by, while the BW.com list ceased being updated after August 1999, leading me to think of the Hasbro.com one as more up-to-date at the time. I also found an even later version of the second list from 2009. --Sabrblade (talk) 19:00, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Wait, are you saying 'the second list was up-to-date so its exclusivity info is probably correct', or 'the second list was up-to-date so its sans-"Beasts" assortment names are more accurate'? Jalaguy (talk) 19:10, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
I... erm... I think I just meant "more up-to-date in general" rather than referring to something specific about it. Apologies for the confusion. Anyway, as I said, inquiries about the specifics might need to be asked on the boards. --Sabrblade (talk) 19:16, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Ah, sorry, I see. I've come across one or two other mentions online of the VHS packs being TRU exclusives but, yeah, I'll ask around about it. Jalaguy (talk) 19:18, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Well, it's looking a lot like they weren't the slightest bit TRU exclusive. Jalaguy (talk) 06:50, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
