- There's no way that the bot in War Dawn is the VF-1J. Not only does it not look like it, but they literally got in trouble a season prior for using a modified Macross design in the show. There's no reason they would risk further issues by doing it again, especially as an easter egg. Please let this go and move on. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 23:33, 19 September 2025 (EDT)
- Looking into it, I'm inclined to agree with Kingzergxes that the robot is based on a VF-1J (NOT Jetfire's VF-1S) Regardless whether or not the studio should have drawn it, it bares numerous design cues: feet shape, circles near the ankles and knees, elbow spikes, stripes below the knees and on the forearms, the four chest sections, elongated face with two antennae ears, and even that trapezoid on his shoulder.
