The Revolutionaries timeline says that the Guiding Hand were created ~5 billion years ago, which doesn't really seem to line up with the idea of the other Transformers being created only in 12 million BC. How do we want to handle this? --Riptide (talk) 07:21, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
- I'd say the old "conflicting accounts" approach is the way to go, especially considering the Guiding Hand stuff is still legend rather than proven fact. Jalaguy (talk) 07:30, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
- Right. Another thing - I think something about the disappearance of female Transformers and the Arcee/Jhiaxus thing should be mentioned somewhere, but... we don't really know when it takes place other than "after the Titans leave, before the Ark leaves". It's kind of a significant thing, distasteful as it is, but I don't know where we'd put it. --Riptide (talk) 08:15, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
Alright, so... my gut instinct would be to change "2006" to "2006-2007", put AHM as starting in 2008 and going into 2009, and have the Costa era cover 2011-2012. We know from Revolutionaries that Chaos was 2012, and it'd give the Joe stuff room to breathe. --Riptide (talk) 17:33, 26 June 2017 (EDT)
Much love for the work going into this, but I'm gonna come in and say this again - I really don't think a timeline, particularly one that deals in as much content as this, should be an issue-by-issue-by-issue-storylink affair. Whole arcs/TPBs should be summarized in a single sentence or two. - Chris McFeely (talk) 05:25, 28 June 2017 (EDT)
- Yeah, sorry about that. I'm a bit of an expansive writer, so it's probably a good idea to remind me every so often to keep it short. Grum (talk) 09:14, 28 June 2017 (EDT)
- No worries, it's a really easy thing to have happen when you're going through the material issue by issue, or episode by episode. I could give this all another pass when you're done and really strip it to the bone, I had a similar project I was working on recently I had to shelve for reasons. - Chris McFeely (talk) 09:24, 28 June 2017 (EDT)
- That sounds good. Grum (talk) 09:33, 28 June 2017 (EDT)
- I can see the "keep it short and simple" principle, but at the same time I can see that easily being taken to the point of "...well, this was a bunch of snippets" sort of thing. Perhaps it might be workable to have a "New Reader Introduction" timeline that would be the short (Abridged? Kai?) version, while the "long form" version is behind a "okay, so you have an hour..." sort of link? - TBR (talk) 15:38, 28 June 2017 (EDT)
