Signed posts make it much easier to keep track of who said what, and when. Also, if you don't do this, you risk having your posts removed entirely.

Information about upcoming toys or media may be rooted in rumors and leaks based on incomplete/outdated information; we don't cover leaks, and we’d rather be a little behind than inaccurate (see our relevant Policy Page for more info). A supposed toy defect may be an isolated incident. A claim of inaccuracy on an article may be a misunderstanding. Exercise your best judgment before making additions, and ask first on the article talk pages or our Discord if you’re not sure.

Toy Swapping
[edit]Okay, I'm guessing you're determined to add this because you happened to buy a certain toy and it had a swapped accessory. But fact is, that doesn't make it worth an entire section devoted to it. Hell, it's such a minor difference from a full toy swap, it's not really worth more than a small passing reference in the intro text. So please stop adding that big, poorly-written subsection. --Detour 12:38, 3 June 2010 (EDT)
Look, I am sorry to keep adding tat. I just thought it was important to have in the article, because it was under the same idea. And just so you know, this whole website is full of crappy, big, poorly written sections and just want to help improve some facts not added. So you can take that comment and stick it were it belongs. I just tried to add something. LordDalek 12:36, 2 September 2010 (EDT)
- There is nothing wrong with wanting to contribute. However, when said addition is removed by other users, including one of the administrators (not me, mind you), that generally means that it's not a good one. Constantly reverting it back up isn't the way to go. There are talk pages for the articles, where you can go plead your cause. (also, where is this site "full of crappy, big, poorly written sections"?) --Detour 09:20, 4 June 2010 (EDT)
Megatron (myth)
[edit]What you posted is speculation, which does not belong on the wiki. You were expanding on a possible theory that the original Megatron took his name from the myth character. That was okay, but building on it is worse. And, as stated, it was pretty poorly-written. --NCZ 10:51, 2 September 2010 (EDT)
Hatred
[edit]It says on your user page that you think everyone on this wiki hates you. I wasn't at the whole edit war, but from what I've seen, it seems that it's not that everyone hates you, it's just that you are making edits that are deemed unworthy as good content on the pages. When people revert your edits, instead of putting your edits on the page back, you should discuss it on the talk page to try and resolve the problem. --Kirby 11:16, 2 September 2010 (EDT)
- Here, here, Kirby. I've had quite a few of my edits undone and it can be painful, but one needs to look from the perspective of the mods and admins here. They know alot more about the Transformers franchise than us armchair fans (some of them, like M. Sipher and ItsWalky, work hands-on with Hasbro and the Official Transformers Collectors' Club), so they're not striking edits for the sake of ego. Learn the ropes (click on the 'Help' button on the Navigation menu on the left side of the page for valuable tips), get the lay of the land, and you'll be all right. - Zadok Rox 11:39, 2 September 2010 (EDT)
Wiping your user talk
[edit]Though the above points stand, please don't remove content from your talk page. It's there as a reminder. --Kirby 12:36, 2 September 2010 (EDT)
Okay, no problem.LordDalek 12:38, 2 September 2010 (EDT)
Spelling and grammar
[edit]Please take care to check your spelling and grammar before posting, this will decrease the chances of your edits being reverted. For example, in your recent edit to Scale "further more" should have been one word and "then" should have been "than". Please note that this is meant only to help you improve your work and grow as a contributor, we need all the help we can get here. --Khajidha 11:25, 3 September 2010 (EDT)
Who
[edit]Fiction articles focus on what is provided to us by the existing fiction. Anything else is simply pointed out in the notes. That is why, for the longest time, Nicholas Fury was only listed as "Nicholas" and the Doctor and Dalek articles are vague in what said characters actually are. Please do not change that. --Detour 15:35, 16 October 2010 (EDT)
- "The original Daleks created by Davros who had grey slivery and black hemispheres on his MERC (Mind Enhanced Roving Chair). Davros described them as his Mark III Travel Machine." and "Once the machine was perfected, the Mark III Travel Machines were renamed by Davros as the Daleks.". Both clear canonical indicators that Mark III Travel Machines were the Daleks' original names. Now stop messing with the bloody page. --Detour 15:53, 16 October 2010 (EDT)
This whole Dalek thing
[edit]Honestly, I don't see the point...I sympathise, as I sometimes have to fight the urge to make the dinosaur page...right. Hell, the opening blurb on extinction is technically wrong. But really the pages here should be focused as much as possible on the relevance to transformers...I'd say at best, include a link to the Tardis wiki somewhere on the page. It's especialy tenuous considering how contradictory Dr. Who continuity can get. User:Eire 16.24 Oct 17 2010
- To be honest, you are right. After the whole thing settled down I thought about it and thought just to give up whether I won the argument or not. If people want to learn more about the Daleks, they can just click the link at the bottom of the page. I really don't care anymore. (I should have thought about this earlier, but Doctor Who is about Time Travel. It is going to create paradoxs with itself.)LordDalek 11:31, 17 October 2010 (EDT)
