Total Meltdown
[edit]Was the YTV feed for this episode staggered so it aired at 9:30 a.m. in all time zones? If not, which time zone showed it at 9:30? I suspect Mountain Time, but it's good to make sure.--Apcog 17:08, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- It was Eastern Time, actually, but you can always check out YTV's website to find out when Animated's on in your timezone.--Nightshade83 17:34, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for posting to my page too to notify me, but such messages should go on a person's Talk page, not their user page. Anyway, I'll amend the airing time notation for the episode. My earlier assumption on the air time was ill-founded, as I based it on the Central Zone time slot for the show—on Cartoon Network, not YTV.--Apcog 17:42, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. Must have pressed the wrong button. Stupid school computers. --Nightshade83 17:43, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

English
[edit]I'm not taking a stance on the spelling of color/colour within Movie Arcee's page. You seemed to feel pretty strongly about using one over the other, so I thought I should show you this. -Sntint 16:30, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for showing me that. For the record, I originally made the edit concerning Arcee's G1 Colour edition, and since there was no predicent in spelling on that page, (no other words that have different spellings in Britain/Canada and America) I didn't think my spelling should have been changed. Like it said in the guidelines, the first type of spelling to appear is the one that takes predicence.
- Sorry if I sound picky, but I am Majoring in English and Professional Writing in university. I think I know what I'm talking about. --Nightshade83 16:40, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- In that case, it's "precedent/precedence". ;-)--Apcog 17:25, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Smartass. :P --Nightshade83 18:36, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- All in good fun. And come on, when you get a set-up like that...--Apcog 18:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know. I never said I was perfect.
- Btw, I know I sound like a crazy fangirl here, but it would be awesome if you would check out my fic, "Vapour Trails", Apcog. I'm trying really hard to keep it consistant with canon info on the Movie universe, so critique from other Teletraan users would be really helpful! The link's on my User Page. --Nightshade83 18:52, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've only got X time to spend on here as it is, and my personal grasp of the Movie universe minutiae isn't the best, I think. Given enough free time, though, I'll read it through.--Apcog 20:16, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Vapour Trails
[edit]Just to let anyone know who glances at my page here, I've written a Transformers fan fiction story called Vapour Trails, with the link posted on my User Page. Unlike some fan fiction writers, I try to keep my stories at the highest level of quality, and in fiction based on other people's work, that means keeping to canon as close as possible.
Vapour Trails takes place in the 2007 Movie universe, with some ideas taken from G1, Timelines and Beast Wars.
I would love any critiques, especially constructive criticism, from fellow Transformers fans here at Teletraan. After all, who would know more about Transformers than the people here? I've only become a fan myself since last summer, so any advice from long-time fans would be most welcome!
Thanks! --Nightshade83 22:41, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Just in case anyone cares, I updated Vapour Trails. Chapter 4a: "Killing In the Name Of"
- Nightshade, Frenzy and Scorponok infiltrate a human military base, but this simple information gathering mission soon takes a turn towards disaster with the presense of a certain Army Ranger who recognizes the pilot Nightshade's holoavatar is impersonating and a gruff old soldier who is more than meets the eye.
- Sorry, I know. Bad pun. I hate summaries. --Nightshade83 03:51, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Featured characters lists
[edit]In my opinion it is better to leave things blank than to fill them with possibly incorrect information if you have not seen or read the fiction yourself, or cannot remember. Or you could go check the DVDs or youtube for the episodes in question :) --FFN 03:41, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- I was going off the characters mentioned in the synopsis and notable quotes lists anyway. It's just that one ep I was a little confused about. Couldn't find it on youtube. This is a wiki after all, if changes need to be made later, it's not a problem. --Nightshade83 04:29, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Wrong. If a character list is added, it will be assumed to be correct. Do not add intentionally incomplete character lists. It is better to have no information than misleading or wrong information. --ItsWalky 04:31, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- I was just trying to help. This wiki's been such a great reference for me, I want to contribute to it however I can. --Nightshade83 04:35, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- It's okay. Just remember to double check stuff. --FFN 01:00, 14 February 2008 (EST)

character links in plot summaries
[edit]Hi Nightshade83, I don't think we need to provide links to characters in the plot summaries that are already in the featured character list. It tends to clog up the summary with links. Now a reference to a character not in the featured list is ok. --MistaTee 15:21, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- I saw some entries with links to characters, some without. Just trying to keep things consistent. However, I see your point about unnecessary links. I'll keep that in mind from now on.--Nightshade83 15:39, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'm trying to remove them when I see them. --MistaTee 16:03, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Rainmakers
[edit]Just for the fandom record, my friend Lady Tecuma and I came up with names and characterization for the Rainmakers long before this new character Acid Storm was announced. Still, it's cool to see that Hasbro has picked up on the same, general idea.
Anway, my Rainmakers are as follows:
Stormbringer - Trine Leader. (a trine is a threesome of Seekers). The green Rainmaker, she, well obviously, leads her trine. Ends up in a rather hilarious love triangle with Skywarp and Sideswipe. She's named after IDW's Stormbringer comic series.
Cloudburst - The Yellow Rainmaker, and the Decepticons' head meteorologist. Her job is to research different ways to improve Seeker flight in all kinds of planetary weather conditions. She had a relationship with Tecuma's fan character Killzone, and later ended up bonded with Jetfire. They have one sparkling together so far, a little femme named Solarflare. She is nominally named after the Autobot Pretender Cloudburst, though she's obviously a very different character.
Downpour - The Blue Rainmaker. She's a field medic, assisting downed Seekers in places that Hook and other Decepticon medics can't get to. She ends up with Thundercracker and they have two sparklings, Thundercracker's adopted son, Sidewinder (who is in a trine with Dirge's adopted son Whirlwind and Starscream's daughter, Starburst) and their daughter Lightningstrike
So far, the Rainmakers have only appeared in Lady Tecuma's stories "Sparks and Plasma" and "System of a Down", though I'll be adding them into my stories as well soon. Anyway, thank you to anyone who might be interested in our fanon.--Nightshade83 18:02, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Tense
[edit]When we write a summary of a character's fictional adventures in their own article fiction sections, we generally write it in past tense as if they were events in that character's history (though we write in present tense in the story's own article). We also try to avoid saying things out of fiction (unless its a Note) such as "Unlike in his previous fictional appearences,". Oh, also we do not put links to the fiction franchise in the continuity sub-section headings. Thanks. --FFN 15:23, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
