The User Talk pages are for requesting and receiving advice (and admonishments) about how to improve the wiki. They're not for random fandom chatting. If you want to discuss Transformers with like-minded fans,
we recommend Seibertron.com, Transformer World 2005, The Allspark, or our Discord.

Blanking your talk page
Don't do that. See Transformers Wiki: User page for details. -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 07:46, 16 February 2016 (EST)
- Yeah, god forbid I actually try to engage a fucking discussion before making edits. Takeshi357 (talk) 08:50, 16 February 2016 (EST)
Removing user notices
Please don't remove the user notices. They're there for a reason. -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 13:59, 23 February 2016 (EST)
Japanese spelling for Cybertron
To answer your question, yes, "Seibertron" is a common fan spelling for the classic Japanese name of Cybertron, セイバートロン. But for whatever reason, the powers that be decided that both "Seibātoron" the planet and "Saibatoron" the faction in Japanese should be romanized identically despite the pronouciation difference. And we the editors of this wiki have to accept official sources. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 16:54, 11 March 2016 (EST)
Blanking your talk page returns
As you have been told multiple times, do not blank your user talk page. Jalaguy (talk) 18:55, 26 August 2016 (EDT)

- Because it's against wiki policy to be allowed to whitewash your record. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 20:32, 26 August 2016 (EDT)

- It's important to keep track of talk page history so everyone is treated fairly. User talk pages are regarded as a public space, so please don't delete material from them unless you're archiving it. --abates (talk) 23:44, 10 September 2016 (EDT)
- Also, being a petulant child about wiki policy and repeatedly ignoring admin warnings is a nice quick way to not have an account anymore. So, yannow, reel it back. --M Sipher (talk) 00:07, 11 September 2016 (EDT)
- And I'm going to continue ignoring them until somebody tells me exactly what the hell the "discussion" section is supposed to be if discussion isn't allowed. Because until then, I'm just gonna see myself being punished for no good reason and make you look like a complete wanker. Takeshi357 (talk) 16:20, 11 September 2016 (EDT)
- Bye then. --M Sipher (talk) 17:00, 11 September 2016 (EDT)
- Yes, it's completely my fault that nobody tells me anything. Takeshi357 (talk) 12:43, 12 September 2016 (EDT)

Alright then, allow me to help explain.
Article discussion pages are used to discuss changes to be made/ways to improve that specific article. As such, you should only post something there if it pertains to editing the article page. This can include asking questions about how recent developments in fiction should be handled, bringing up a problem with how something is written, or just double checking if doing something is okay. They are not for random discussions about the character/location/franchise that do not pertain to the editing of the article.
User talk pages are designed to allow other editors of the wiki to ask you questions about your edits, inform you of when you've made a mistake, and keep a record of any problems that have resulted from your edits. As such, deleting the contents of your talk page is essentially like burning your rap sheet. Even if you haven't done anything wrong, it's frowned upon as you are deleting the public records from the wiki that help the admins and moderators keep the peace.
Hopefully this will help you understand how to be a better member of our community. --DannyBoy (talk) 13:26, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
- Thank you. Takeshi357 (talk) 04:56, 13 September 2016 (EDT)
- The point about article talk pages is explained in the huge notice at the top of this page and the point about user talk pages was explained in the link I provided earlier in this thread. Takeshi357's claim that "nobody tells [him/her] anything" is absurd. --Khajidha (talk) 14:52, 12 September 2016 (EDT)
- That's the thing, in my own opinion I have been using the discussion section for it's intended purpose - asking before making edits because 1) that particular topic might be worth mentioning in the respective article, and 2) another contributor might know more about the subject than I do - so being accused of "talking too much" despite of this strikes me as absurd because I'm not engaging in just idle chatter.
