Real and movie continuity dates:

Transformers 1 = 2007. "Present day".

ROTF (2009), it is said in the movie that it takes place 2 years later. So it fits with the date it was released.

Dotm (2011), it is said is 3 years later from ROTF (So is one year off).

AOE (2014), it is said "5 years after the battle of Chicago" (So 2 years off).

TLK (2017), "5 years have passed since the battle of Hong Kong" (Again 2 years off with the film release).

So, are we even sure the last 3 films are in the "present"????. Adding all up, TLK would be -in film continuity- in 2022. So in 2022 Stephen Hawking is definitely dead.

Or just another plothole. Or Tfs1 was really set before 2007 movie-time.
