Hi, please read our image policy before uploading images. But to summarise, PNG files are to be used sparingly, and in circumstances where a chart of some sort is used and the letters are required to be legible. 100KB and over for some tiny images are not worth our server space (most image files should be kept under 150KB if at all possible without sacrificing quality). For the sheer majority of images, we prefer jpegs, and of a images of a legible size. Animated gifs are out of the question. Also, our current file name policy states that we should include the name of the fiction the image comes from (be it an episode, comic issue or book) in the file name. Also, for Beast Wars screen captures, you should acknowledge the copyright owners of the image (that is Hasbro and whomever made the cartoon) and from which episode it came from, and to do this, you must use our Beast Wars screen capture template, which allows you to do so easily (copy paste the template into the image description and fill out the details). --FFN 06:20, 2 June 2009 (EDT)
