Hello I was recently banned from the Discord and I want to inquire as to the reasons as to why. I assume it has something to do with the show I was discussing and I want to preface that I DO NOT agree with the motivations surrounding Season 1 and 2 of Hetalia nor do I agree with the characters. I wasn't defending the show, I really thought I was just discussing it. I was going to leave it at that, when Cooone asked they didn't want to know more, I was going to stop, I was going to respect their space and that they were uncomfortable with that topic. I just assumed it was okay to talk about cause it's a comedy of historical figures (in Hetalia's case countries) in the way clone high is, which the server has brought up many times before.

I know that I can easily misunderstand intentions-reading emotions isn't my strong suit-but I would never attack someone based on their belief, color, belief, ect. The only people I have ever had conflicts with were the mods Shiny and Sam, and possibly Cooone and Jess (I don't know how they felt, just that they didn't like the topic). None were my intention, I never meant to start problems, I just didn't know certain things and when the Shiny and Sam responded to those things-I read it as aggressive, especially when I tried to move mine and Shiny's conversation away from others so as to not bother them but Shiney only said I was prissey for dm'ing them, even if they didn't mean to be aggressive I still don't know as it was never brought up again, and I reacted in a poor manner.

I would like to join back in as I love talking about transformers, with the other users (mods or otherwise). At least let there be a discussion amongst mods as it felt to fast for there to have been a talk, a ban is after all a big thing and I could have been muted and have it be discussed amongst a group of mods and not let the decision rest on one person. I really respect the tfwiki for all its done, as an amazing collection of knowledge on the transformers world. And it distresses me that something I respect so greatly hates me. I truly am sorry if I hurt someone, I miss read the situation.

Sorry, but over your time in the server you consistently responded to any and all moderation with extreme defensiveness, and whenever a staff member gave you any form of warning you went and complained to another moderator about them being mean to you - as demonstrated by how you're bringing back these old gripes now! You were ultimately banned because you decided to complain to a mod about Shiny doing nothing more than pointing out how distasteful the manga "Axis Powers Hetalia" - a name that should give anybody with a normal moral compass pause! - was, and deleting the art of it that you posted. You have shown nothing but contempt for the idea of moderating your behaviour as part of a shared space and so we will not be allowing you to rejoin the Discord server. --Riptide (talk) 22:30, 13 May 2023 (EDT)

I wasn't complaining to Shiny about Hetalia, nor was I complaining to another mod about Shiny. Shiny made an assumption Hetalia (saying that it is based off of ww2 which it isn't) and I just added that that it isn't just the axis nor is it focused on them despite the name, its a comedic historical allegory set throughout time featuring various countries (not just ww2, the american revolution also makes an appearance and even the Holy Roman Empire). When I posted that screenshot it was after having done my research into it, as I too was worried about the title--do not think I ignored that. It would do well for research to be done on it before it is brought up as evidence of any sort.

In regards to dm another user about Shiny is that Shiny has scared me in the past by being very aggressive and this seemed like just another aggressive moment, not a modding. So I was asking for advice, the mod I talked to was someone I thought I could trust, based on how they have been helpful in the past, to give me advice on how to deal with someone being aggressive. Neither users mod status mattered to me nor did it factor in any capacity. The reason I brought up Shiny to someone is due to all the times they have ever spoken to me, even outside of moderation. I had no reason to believe Shiny would bother to listen to me. I was only asking for advice, I wasn't complaining about Shiny.

Also, how is it "as demonstrated by how you're bringing back these old gripes"? That I do not understand. I am not mad any more, I merely brought it up for context on our interaction. I do not have contempt for being moderated. Its just so happened that the only times it has happened it was by two people who were extremally aggressive. Yes I was overly defensive, however extreme defensiveness came in response to extreme aggression. I do not mind being moderated, I just prefer it to be a peaceful talk.

You are literally doing everything Broadside just described right now. This isn't just about Hetalia, it's about your ongoing bad behavior and refusal to take genuine responsibility for your actions, something you're continuing to do on this very talk page. As it's clear your behavior isn't going to change and that you aren't here to actually contribute to the wiki itself, I think we're done here. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 14:58, 14 May 2023 (EDT)
