Sumdacs
[edit]Please see Help:Disambiguation for the explanation. Also, there is no need for a category with only 2 members (like your Sumdac family category). --Khajidha 20:18, 30 May 2011 (EDT)
Categories
[edit]There's this really handy help page under the header "Help" in the navigation column on the left of your screen. But to answer your question directly, the rule of thumb is that a categories okay if there's at least seven pages for it. There's some leeway if, say, there's only three pages but there's more waiting to be made (currently with the Beast machines weapon category - there's definitely more than only four identifiable weapons in BM, but most articles haven't been written yet). Other reasons might be that the articles' nature might not lend themselves very well for naming other alike pages, so then less than seven articles get a page just because they have to be brought together some way (like the unproduced scripts category, though keep in mind that one has the potential to grow, which makes it more acceptable to exist. Another example would be many of the Unicron Trilogy categories containing only three entries relating to the three franchises). But for now, just stick to the seven rule. Wow
[edit]Wikia didn't even have a page for Fowler, TFWiki is clearly superior. Ty 17:13, 28 August 2011 (EDT)
- Yeah, and their layout's such a mess I don't know how anyone can edit over there. --abates 18:29, 28 August 2011 (EDT)
- Considering we have almost twice as many articles as they do, it doesn't seem like anyone actually does edit over there. --Khajidha 18:36, 28 August 2011 (EDT)
- I started to, but only because my memory is horrible and I forgot about coming across TF and it being superior. It seems like Legend of the Galactic Heroes anime has the same problem, Wikia fails and hardcore fans move to document it offsite. Ty 18:41, 31 August 2011 (EDT)
