The Walkie Talkie Robot is a Transformer from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Walkie Talkie Robots are a pair of—as one might infer—walkie-talkies.

Not much else is known about them other than that you probably shouldn't let Bandai see this page.

• Walkie Talkie Robot (1987)

Originally produced by Hong Kong company Artlight as 2 in 1 Robot Walkie Talkies<ref>https://www.ebay.com/itm/126588381373</ref>, the Walkie Talkie Robot set features a pair of non-transforming figures released in Argentina by Comando Toys in 1987 under the Transformers license. As the name suggests, they double as walkie talkies that communicate with each other, with their push-to-talk button being placed... right in the middle of their crotches. The robots appear to have some slight variants, as their right arms or left legs might be colored in either blue or black (although black appears to be the most common of the two).

Similarly to how Radio AM Robot (Comando Toys' other more popular Transformers offering) was an imported bootleg relabeled as an official toy, the design for the Walkie Talkie Robots is clearly ripped off from Godmars, the titular mecha of Japanese anime Rokushin Gattai Godmars—although it does not seem that they directly copy any specific Godmars toy, thus technically avoiding the knockoff classification.

Oddly, Comando Toys also released the Walkie Talkie Robots under the G.I. Joe brand, but with an extensive effort to not make them look like robots: their arms and heads were removed, their bodies were painted in woodland camouflage, and their stickers were exchanged for more theme-fitting ones. Even the packaging contains the same styrofoam with visible slots for the now missing head and limbs. • The box art for the Walkie Talkie Robot set is clearly heavily traced over that of Generation 1 Soundwave.
• There was also a (non-Transformers-branded) version of the toy that'd became the Walkie Talkie Robot released as a single robot with a built-in radio instead, under the name of "2 in 1 Combat AM Radio"... And, similar to the push-to-talk button on the walkie-talkies, the radio dial is also placed on its crotch. • The box layout of Walkie Talkie Robot is pretty similar to that of Nasta's Transformers merchandise, even seemingly featuring the same font for the product names. Nasta also released both a radio and a walkie-talkie pair with designs based on Optimus Prime, under the names of Robot AM Radio and Electronic Intercom Telephone System respectively.
