The Washington Monument is a landmark in Washington, D.C. constructed in honor of George Washington.

During a battle near the Washington Monument, Brawn tied a cable around the base of the monument and roped Thundercracker with the other end. The jet was unable to escape and easy pickings for Optimus Prime. At the conclusion of the battle, during the inevitable Decepticon retreat, Megatron gave the side of the monument a good punch. As it began to crumble, Optimus and Grimlock stopped it from toppling over, and Slag repaired it with his fire-breath. Atlantis, Arise! The Washington Monument was also one of the first monuments scheduled to be treated with corrostop. Whether it was ever coated is unknown. Cosmic Rust

[edit]In a battle against an Ore-13-charged Dire Wraith, Thundercracker managed to defeat the monster by impaling it on the Washington Monument. Thundercracker & Buster Save the World
