Melody wrote "Young 'bots in Love" on Valentine's Day for Jazz, after numerous questions about romance and physical affection had aroused his curiosity. She gave a public reading of the work to a bemused Jetfire and Goldfire. When the real Prowl came by to tell them off for slacking off, Goldfire attempted to bait him into admitting his personal feelings towards Drift, but this just left Prowl confused. Love Spark

Notes

[edit]
  • The work uses the terms "sparkmate" and "Conjunx Endura", the latter being a creation of Melody's, confusing Jetfire.
  • Disturbingly, we never found out if Goldfire's fears that the work might contain inappropriately dressed human women or kiss-playing were right.
  • Prowl and Drift are both millions of years old, raising the question of just what makes them "young" 'bots.
  • Like the event it's found in, "Young 'bots in Love" is a parody of romantic fan fiction involving characters, and one that can seem very mean-spirited. On the other hand, Melody wrote fan fiction about two people she knew, without asking their permission, which is just a bad idea in general.
