Yst was an Earth-like planet that existed 700 lightyears away from the Unicron Singularity until Unicron possessed it as his new body. Its original size is unclear, but the form that Unicron created from it was only as big as an average Transformer. Some shrinkage was seen to occur in this process, but how much is unknown.

Fiction

Cybertron comic

[edit]

After the Planet X agent Soundwave freed Unicron's essence from the black hole, it travelled to Yst. Penetrating the planet itself, Unicron's essence cast the planet's civilization into war and chaos, eventually leading to the planet's destruction and the rebirth of Unicron's body. Revelations Part 3

The AllSpark Almanac

[edit]

Yst was located within the Vestial Imperium until its unfortunate destruction. The AllSpark Almanac II

Ask Vector Prime

[edit]

Yst was mentioned as an example of a type of tainted world in which Unicron mutates the inhabitants into mindless beasts. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/09

Notes

[edit]
  • The inhabitants of this world resemble the [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Cardassian|{{#if:||Cardassian}}]]s from Star Trek. Garak better not have died.
  • Yst being a part of the Vestial Imperium (in the Animated continuity) implies that it was a robotic planet before it was destroyed. This may be referencing how the planet became a new body for Unicron in the story that introduced it, it is literally a robot planet.
