Zambia

Zambia is a landlocked country in central Africa, with its capital at Lusaka. It has a lot of forests with elephants in, and many dirt roads. Running through it is the mighty Zambezi River, which is inhabited by crocodiles and hippopotamuses, and has a massive set of waterfalls known as Victoria Falls.

The Veiled Threat

Starscream recruited the Human Accessory Force, a bunch of former refugees turned mercenaries, and took them to Zambia to cause some damage. After hijacking Careful Chifungwe's beer delivery truck in Kafue National Park, they attacked a site storing dam construction materials downriver from Victoria Falls. The private security, mercenaries, and Zambian army protecting the site were no match for the Decepticons.

Word of the activity got back to NEST, which dispatched a team of humans and Autobots to investigate. The Decepticons lured Optimus, Ironhide and Ratchet into the Zambezi, intending to hold them there until they went over Victoria Falls. With the help of the human members of the team, Ironhide and Ratchet escaped that fate, but Optimus plunged over thanks to Macerator, and was only saved by the teamwork of the other Autobots present.

The Autobots later tracked the Decepticons via satellite to the Kariba dam downriver. Payload began attacking the base of the dam with the aim of destroying it and the Cahorra Bassa dam, which would wipe out the power for Africa's industrial base. The Autobots caught up with them, and stopped them. Ratchet repaired much of the damage done to the dam. The Veiled Threat

The populace of Cybertron used Metroplex's Space Bridge and magic to escape to Earth, landing at Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe-Zambia border. Road's End
