Zanzibar is a Cobra-aligned human from the G.I. Joe portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

If there's a low deed to be done, Zanzibar is your man. In his career, both solo and with the Dreadnoks, he's done everything from picking pockets to modern-day river piracy. Not only is this guy completely immoral, he's also a jerk about it. Just ask the person who gets to the donuts after he does...

Following the apparent destruction of Earth, Zanzibar and the rest of Cobra celebrated finding a new home on Cybertron with a banquet, though the Dreadnoks were seated away from everyone else. When Zandar blamed this on Torch and tried to get Zanzibar's support, Zanzibar told him to get off his high horse and stop assuming he could tell them what to do just because he was Zartan's brother. Earth: R.I.P. In the new space age that followed the encounter with Cybertron, Zanzibar became a space pirate raiding trade routes in the asteroid belt, clashing several times with Shipwreck. The War Never Ends
